    Preferred Facility Providers - New Requirements for FEP Observation Claims
    The following information has been added to the Facility Manual:
    New requirements for Federal Employee Program (FEP) member observation claims went into effect on April 14, 2012. This change applies to revenue codes 760 and 762. File the number of hours in observation as the number of services on the claim when one of these revenue codes is present. If you have questions, please contact your Provider Network Services Representative at 1-866-904-4130 (toll free).

    FEP Specialty Drugs
    The Federal Employee Program (FEP) specialty pharmacy drug list differs from the specialty pharmacy drug list for most groups. Be sure to check Eligibility and Benefits for FEP members pharmacy benefit information. You can also visit www.fepblue.org to find a link to the specialty drug list for these members. As announced in ProviderFacts 2011-082 and 2012-006, the first of the year always brings new Blue Cross groups as well as benefit changes for many existing groups. To keep up with these changes, it is very important to verify current contract information and eligibility and benefits through your e-Practice Management (e-PM) software system or through our improved ProviderAccess.
